CoPIE-Tool: Improving the instrument

2. Maximum harmonization of the questionnaires (especially the questionnaire for start-ups) for better comparability of the statements
3. Harmonization of the methodology: direct interviews
4. Selection of the business starters
5. Selection of personal data of business starters‘ for multivariate analysis
Comparison of the perceptions of the three interviewee groups
CoPIE-Analysis: Possibilities
Direct comparison of the different perceptions - tailor-made offer for disadvantaged target groups
CoPIE-Analysis: Possibilities
Evaluation of the responses of the business starters regarding sex, age and target group
CoPIE-Analysis: Possibilities
CoPIE-Analysis: Benefit
Sensitization of regional stakeholders
•Adequate support offers
•Perception of further stakeholders
•Taking into account the needs of different target groups
Connection for European exchange
•Feedback concerning strengths and weaknesses
•Arranging contacts to other European regions
•Access to CoPIE
CoPIE Analysis: Benefit
Main research results in Brandenburg:
•Compared to other European regions, Brandenburg has a good start-up
infrastructure (area-wide, target group related)
•Besides a few exceptions, advisors evaluate the start-up support
infrastructure better than the other two groups
•On average, business starters that used target group related offers have a
better opinion about those offers than business starters that did not use
specialized offers
•There is a strong demand regarding sensitization: Entrepreneurial
education at schools
