7-Unique Stretches That Tighten Your Muscles And Smooth Away Cellulite Cellulite is a major roadblock to stunningly smooth legs. As a matter of fact, it’s a roadblock for the nearly 80-90% of women who will struggle with cellulite in their lifetime. Cellulite takes the “smooth” out of your legs by forming dimples on your skin. But the good news is that you can get rid of cellulite if you have it already, and you can prevent cellulite from appearing if you’re still in the clear. Cellulite is fat. Side-to-Side Stretch

Muscles worked: Quadriceps, abductors, adductors, hamstrings, gluteFor this stretch, stand with your legs shoulder-width apart, your back straight, and with your hands on your hips. Take a big step to the left and bend your knee until your thigh is parallel with the floor. Pause at the bottom of the movement and then return back to the starting position with your legs should-width apart. Then, do the same movement with your right leg.

Leg Kickback

Muscles worked: Gluteal muscles (booty)For this stretch, rest on all fours (forearms and knees). Keep your back straight and your head downward. Keeping your left leg in its bent position, simply lift it off the ground slowly. Hold your leg in the air for 2-seconds and then return to the starting position. Repeat that movement 10 times to get a good stretch. Next, repeat the same repetitions for your right leg.

Lunge

Muscles worked: Glutes, quadriceps, hamstringsFor this stretch, stand with your legs shoulder length apart and place your hands on your hips. Step forward slightly with your left leg, bending your knee until you feel a stretch in the targeted muscles. Hold this for 10-seconds and then return to the starting position. Then, re-peat with your right leg. Repeat with both legs for 10 sets.

Squat

Muscles worked: Glutes, quadriceps, hamstringsStand with your feet slightly wider than shoulder length apart. Place your hands on your hips. Squat down and hold the squat position for10 seconds. Then, return to the upright position. Repeat this movement 10 times.

Toe Touches

Muscles worked: Glutes, hamstringsFor this stretch, stand with your feet close together. Let your arms dangle in front of you. Bend over at your waist (not your back) until you feel a stretch in your glutes and your hamstrings. Hold that position for 10 seconds and then return to the upright position. Repeat this 5 times.

Standing Leg Curl

Muscles worked: QuadricepsFor this stretch, stand with your legs a little close than shoulder length apart. Slowly curl your left leg at the knee so that you’re standing on your right leg only. Hold your left leg with your left arm. Pull slightly on your left leg until you feel a stretch on the front of your left leg. Hold this for 10-seconds and then place your foot back on the ground. Repeat this on your right leg. Perform this exercise 5 times per leg.

Hip Bridge

Muscles worked: Glutes For this stretch, lay flat on the floor, with your legs bent and feet planted firmly on the floor. Place your hands on the ground at your sides. Raise your hips so that your booty and lower back are off the floor. Hold the position for 1 second and then relax. Do this movement 10 times.

What’s so great about them is that you can perform stretches once you wake up, while your watching television, even on your lunch break at work. You’ll smooth out your legs, and see slim results when you do them consistently!Using your mind to blast away cellulite when you stretch Now that you have a list of effective stretches to slim out your legs, I want to share with you another secret to get the most benefit out of those stretches.It involves using your mind... One of the great benefits of stretching to slim out your legs is that you can do it anytime, anywhere. You don’t need weights or gym equipment. All you need is 5-10 minutes to get rid of cellulite in no time. But if you want to most effectively slim out your legs, you need to perform these stretches with your body, yes, but also with your mind. This is known as Mind-Muscle Connection. My husband is a former natural bodybuilder. A large part of his success is due to the concept of mind-muscle connection, meaning that when you perform an exercise, or in our case, a stretch, you want to think about the muscle that you’re working. For example, when you perform a squat stretch, you should think about your glutes, and flex them by squeezing the muscle while you squat.

Also think about your hamstrings as they’re engaged in the movement, and squeeze them as well. Research has shown that when you participate in mind-muscle connection, you’re more likely to achieve the results that you’ve set out to meet. So for your stretches, I want to encourage you to keep your mind en-gaged throughout the movements! Stretching is easy, and convenient, but your muscles need your attention when they’re being worked so that you can blast away cellulite and stretch your legs slim. 3-Dynamic stretches for elastic legs and tight skinThrough the stretching techniques I’ve given you, your muscles will grow, becoming longer, healthier and more flexible... All of these factors contribute to having tight skin. When your muscles get constricted (because of lack of stretching), they become less flexible, and their appearance less stunning. The last group of stretching tips I want to give you in this ebook are dynamic stretches, or in other words, stretches with movement in them. These will help to smooth out and tighten your skin!

Lateral Lunges

Muscles worked: Glutes, hamstrings, quadricps, adductors, abductorsThis dynamic stretch is similar to the side-to-side stretch I listed for you above, except it’s slightly more rigorous. Stand with your feet at shoulder length apart, with your hands clenched near your chest. Keeping your right leg straight, step out as far as you can to the left, and bending your knee and lowering your hips. Push off your left leg to return to the start. And then do the same move-ment on the right side. Repeat this movement 10 times per leg.

Curtsy Lunge

Muscles worked: Glutes, hamstrings, quadricps, adductors, abductorsFor this dynamic stretch you want to start with your legs a little closer than shoulder length apart. Keep your shoulder and hips square and step backward with your left leg and cross it behind your right leg. As you perform the movement, bend both of your knees at a 90-degree angle. Push off your left foot to return to the starting position. Then repeat with your right leg. Perform this movement 10 times per leg.

Lying Abduction

Muscles worked: Glutes, abductors For this dynamic stretch, lie on the floor on your left side with your torso slightly lifted, leaning on your left forearm. Have your right leg stacked on top of your left leg. Raise your right leg and hold for 3 seconds. Then return to resting position for a split second. Repeat this 10 times and then switch to the other side. Repeat this cycle 3 times for great results! These dynamic stretches are sure to tighten your skin, improve muscle
