Approaches to shorten exposure time

• Understand and remove bright ring• Decrease bandpass from 1000 A to

approximately 100 A• Use a neutral density filter• Focal plane occulter• Add images on board

Reduce Contamination of Objective Lens

• Pre-align mechanical parts to minimize objective exposure

• Dust cover for objective during assembly

• Assembly moved to cleaner, dedicated clean room
