The final of the RNLI A3was thefeat ureon las t night’ s car d at Curraheen Park and the improving Kill - barry Rover justified favouritism for own- er /t ra iner D on al Ross. Improving his race record to fo ur wi ns fr om just seve n start s, the pup used his inside line to good ef- fect when leading into the backstraight. Skip ping clear of some trouble outs ide , he raced home two and a ha lf  len gt hs ahead of earl y lea der Compass Ki ng in 29.06. The John Kie ly trai ned Abzorbit is an exceptional br eak er and he use d his greatest asset to best effect when taki ng the tent h race. Outsider of the field, he was clear from an early stag e and held on well to deny favourite Castlelyo ns Ralf by a length in 29.20. Slee k Fred die , thir d on all four previous outings, too k the opening race for Christopher Roche. Leading along the inside at the op ening turn, he quic kened clea r to scor e by four lengths from Liber- al Maldini in 29.38. Patrick O’Connor’s Land Of Hope, a half- sis ter to Persian Ruler, overcame a lengthy absence when tak- ing the night’s first sprint. Gett ing the bett er of Lads Maggie in the early stages, she ran on well to finish a length and a half clear of Scala Kewell in 18.04. Mal den Blac kma de an impressive start to his ca- reer when comi ng home virtually alone in the third race. Daniel Twohig’s pup slip ped thro ugh along the i ns id e to take t he lead between the opening bends bef or e str et chi ng rig ht away to score by a wi de margin in 29.04. Parchme nts Mal, whose litte r sist er Parc hments Tia won here on Thursday, ran out an easy winner of the second sprint. Dermot Leha ne’s pup brok e well and raced clear from the first turn to score hand- somely in 17.82. In the fifth race, Brendan O’Shea of Mill - stre et intr oduc ed a rea lly smart sort in Cro ss fie ld Tina. The Droopys Scolari hal f- sis ter to Sli ck Ace (Ace Hi Rumble –Vieris Surething) showed some of her sib ling’ s earl y pace whe n lea di ng earl y and she sprinted away to a ve thr ee and a half lengths vic tor y over favourite Broadstrand John in 28.87. Blac k Qual ity shed his mai den tag at the seco nd time of asking when tak- ing the si xt h race fo r Shane Murphy. Early pace gai ned the day as he led out and raced to a comfort- ab le succe ss over Val s Dream in 29.58. Perl es Orc hid , owned and trained by Eileen Mo- loney, claimed the scalp of B ar ry ’s Tea f in al is t Dawningo fthe day in the 750. Wi thout a win in seven pr evi ous at tempts , the bitc h led past the stands on the firs t occa sio n and held the fast -finishi ng fa- vourite by four and a half lengths in 42.59. Ther e wa s pl enty of  tr oubl e at the opening bend in race nine but Ab- bies Pet took advantage to lan d the spoils for Jo hn Collins. A litt er sist er to fi rst race winner Sleek Fred die , she mov ed clear from that point to score in 29.40. The consistent Another Dipp y gained his seco nd victory of the month when leading all the way in the cl os ing ra ce. Pa tr ic k Barre tt’ s eve n-mo ney fa- vouri te led along the in- side and coasted to a five and a half lengths success ove r Ball yhoo ly Quee n in a very smart 31.64. IT can pay to follow trainer Owen McKenna when the Macroom Motor Services Stakes swings into action at Curraheen Park tonight,   . The Tipperary handler has bright prospects of recording a double with Power Charge and Coole West Bound. Power Charge, always in control when landing the recent Larry Dunne Consolation final at Shelbourne in 28.50, can land the opening heat at the main expense of Produce Stakes finalist Broadstrand Dan. Coole West Bound ran up in the Produce Consolation final and a recent 17.69 trial suggests he can shrug off a trap four draw in heat three. Heat two looks best left to Cracking Man. Trained by Graham Holland, this exciting sort made it three wins from four starts when posting a smart 28.46 run at Shelbourne earlier this month and can continue on an upward curve. Selections 1st race: Glenbowen Trix (Maureen s Girl); 2nd rac e: Rushing Galvin (Toumpane Th ief) ; 3r d ra ce : Mucky Daragh (Kie l Summit); 4th race: Hawks Gale (Trick Or Two); 5th race: Fairhill Lady (Coolmake e Julee); 6th race: Power Charge (Broadstrand Dan); 7th race: Cracking Man (Millbanksc arface); 8th race: Coole West Bound (Kilmacar Nick ); 9th rac e: Paid Paddy (Holly); 10th rac e: Mellery Blue (Emmas Prin ce); 11th race: Castlelyons Kris (Venus Blue) McKenna set for double delight
