Education Week
What a great week we had last week celebrating
Education Week – buddy reading, tabloid sport lead by our Year 5/6 students, hot lunch special and mufti day. We are proud of our students and the fabulous learning that takes place at CSPS.
Stage 2 Excursion
The Stage 2 teachers are disappointed to announce the 2020 Year 3/4 excursion to Borambola will not go ahead this year.
This decision is made in accordance with Department of Education and Department of Health guidelines to
ensure the health and safety of students, staff and community.
Kinder 2021 Enrolments
We are now taking enrolments for 2021. Please let the front office know if you’d like an enrolment pack posted to your home. Kinder orientation will take place in Term 4. Further information will go out early next term.
Parent teacher interviews
This week a booking information note is going home explaining the format for parent teacher interviews. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom and/or phone call. Please see your child’s note regarding their teachers preference and
availability.

Class Yabi has excitedly started the history unit The Past in the Present. This week we used our imagination to travel through time into the past, present and future. Students were asked the question 'If you could travel to any time, what time would you travel to?" Some of our answers included travelling back to Ancient Egypt, travelling to the past to become a knight or princess, staying in the present with our families, and travelling to the future to drive a flying car. Here are some of the wonderful pictures we drew to share our ideas. What time would you like to travel to? Miss Clare and Yabi Class

In our mathematics lessons we have been measuring length and last Fun
Friday we explored the length of our favourite lollies. Only lollies accurately
measured to the nearest millimetre were eaten! We have also drawn and
made nets of various 3D shapes. We were impressed that some unusual
nets actually made the correct 3D shape.
We are learning about forces in science. Last Friday we discovered how
balloons can move (as well as pop) outside in the sunshine. After some
difficulty blowing up and tying the end of the balloons we investigated the
forces - push, pull and gravity.
Well done Maliyan, you are all working hard.
