LITHIUM: POWERING THE FUTURE

The world’s demand for lithium is projected to be a whopping 534,000 metric tonnes by 2025. That represents a 300% increase from today.

Global trade dynamics are evolving, as we settle into the “new normal,” proximity to demand, geopolitical stability and innovative production ecosystems will trump existing supply chains, as technology transforms and unlocks resource value in the years ahead.

Higher cost China Spodumene “Converters” have kept the market in balance

Demand growth to 2020 requires another 150K Tonnes LCE

“Big 3” plus China unlikely to add more than 100K Tonnes

Low cost Newcomers need to fill the gap

Investment needed ASAP to avoid supply imbalance

The “Big 3” supplied less than half the market in 2015:

ALB WILL ONLY ADD 20K TONNES OF BRINE CAPACITY BEFORE 2020

STANDARD LITHIUM CALIFORNIA PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

The Bristol Lake playa is a flat salt lake that occupies approximately 155 sq. km in a 2,000 sq. km arid drainage basin in San Bernardino County, California.

Standard Lithium’ s 4,000+ acres of strategically located placer claims sit in the heart of the playa, and overlie a basin that is estimated to be greater than 600 M deep. Standard’s position in this nationally important resource can be significantly expanded almost immediately.

The location has significant infrastructure in-place, with easy road and rail access, abundant electricity and water sources, with two major players in the brine salt sector offering decades of operational expertise on contiguous claims.

o Project is located in clean energy development-friendly jurisdiction with infrastructure and historic industrial mineral production

o Early stage project with significant upside potential

o Historic USGS drilling showed Lithium in brine up to 110 mg/L

o Proven near surface brines equals low cost and efficient geophysical and exploration drilling program to de-risk project and define resource

o Excellent candidate for selective lithium recovery through combination of membrane, chemical precipitation and solvent extraction

o Goal to become a significant low cost domestic producer of battery grade lithium materials and high purity by-product minerals.

STANDARD LITHIUM CALIFORNIA PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Historical drilling show lithium brines exist from surface down to +500 ft. depth, similar to the Salar de Atacama in Chile, and may continue for the full depth of the basin. Lithium brines up to 110 mg/L

Lithium brines at surface, in a proven brine-producing salar, plus a drilling-friendly geology, makes exploration and drilling very straightforward and cost-effective compared to almost all other playa-type deposits in North America.

The proven lithium brine is an excellent candidate for selective lithium recovery through combination of membrane, chemical precipitation and solvent extraction processes

The Paradox Basin, Utah

The “Paradox Property,” consists of a series of 3,085 mineral claims covering approximately 41,160 acres, located in the Paradox Basin in Grand County, Utah.

The property lies within a region with historic fluid analyses ranging from 81 to 1,700 ppm lithium in minerals-saturated brines.

Wells drilled in the Paradox Basin of Utah have encountered super-saturated brines.

Analysis indicates possibilities for the commercial extraction of lithium, magnesium, potassium, bromine, and boron.
