�e History and Future of NIKKO

NIKKO was established in 1908 in Kanazawa as a ceramics manufacturer.

Over the course of the century, NIKKO has gone through many transformations as new divisions were added while others were folded. Today, along with the Tabletop Division continued since NIKKO's establishment is the Water Creation Division, which cleanses household drainage, the Environmental Plant Division, which implements large-scale water puri�cation for communities and factories, the BAINCOUTURE Division, which o�ers relaxing bathing experiences for homes, and the Functional Ceramics Product Division, which supports our daily lives through various machineries and equipment.

�e Tabletop Division has devoted itself to developing products which help to enrich the time and atmosphere spent in eating. �e Water Creation Division and Environmental Plant Division o�er ways to create an environment where even the next generation can live without worry. �e BAINCOUTURE Division o�ers a revitalizing bathtime experience for an energized tomorrow. �e Functional Ceramics Product Division implants products which support safety and security, contribute to energy conservation, and improve the convenience of our daily lives into various machineries. We do not see these products directly, but they support us in many ways. At NIKKO, we thrive to be a company with sensational in�uences in all of our business areas.

Within Japan there remains approximately 3.8 million Tandoku-shori Johkasou, which treat only toilet wastewater. �is is a pressing issue. We are reinforcing our construction and maintenance services in order to advance conversion to Gappei-shori Johkasou, which clean all domestic wastewater.

In 2020, we released the new “Mizutsukuriou”.O�ering easy maintenance through a simple design, compact size often used for household use, and a reduction in electricity costs of approximately 50% (compared to our existing products).

We perform integrated manufacture at our Saitama factory, from the production of SMC sheets to molding and assembly. We carry out technological research in our own research institute in order to provide high performance, high quality products, and are engaged in improvement and new technology development on a day-to-day basis.

Ever since becoming a separate division in 2015, we've put to use the water treatment technologies we've accumulated over the years to provide comprehensive services in the wastewater plant industry such as large-scale Johkasou, kitchen waste disposers systems, and industrial wastewater plants with everything from sales, development, designing, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance.We have expanded overseas with our water-puri�cation tank technology fostered in Japan to contribute to the safety of the global water environment.

Providing tablewareTogether with Mitani Sangyo Co., Ltd., we are providing disaster area support through door-to-door tableware provision to temporary housing. We donated tableware to disaster victims of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake, 2017 Northern Kyushu torrential rain, 2018 torrential rain in western Japan and Hokkaido eastern Iburi earthquake. And as reconstruction support for the damage from 2019 Typhoon No. 19 (Nagano Prefecture), we also held an outdoor market after providing tableware. We will continue to carry out support activities in disaster-stricken areas to help those a�ected by disasters.
