In the article titled “Simulation-Based Early Prediction ofRocket, Artillery, and Mortar Trajectories and Real-TimeOptimization for Counter-RAM Systems” [1], there was anerror in Section 2.1, where the fourth and fih paragraphs,“�e air drag coefficient 𝐶 𝑑 for instance depends on thecritical velocity ratio, pictured in Figure 1. Since the dragcoefficient does not vary in a simple manner with Machnumber, this makes the analytic solutions inaccurate anddifficult to accomplish.” and “One can see from this figurethat there is no simple analytic solution to this variation.Withcomputer power nowadays, we usually solve or approximatethe exact solutions numerically, doing the quadratures bybreaking the area under the curve into quadrilaterals andsumming the areas. In general, there are three forms ofthe drag coefficient:”, respectively, should be updated to thefollowing:

Due to Carlucci and Jacobson [19], these analyticsolutions are hard to achieve and prone to error, because thedrag coefficient does not differ in a straightforward way withMach number.”
Fih paragraph: “It is obvious that there is no simpleanalytical solution for these variants.Withmodern computersystems, the exact solutions are solved numerically, doing thequadratures by breaking the area under the curve into quadri-laterals and summing the areas.
