2018 NAPLAN As you may have heard in the media of late, this years NAPLAN results are very inconsistent due to the fact
that some schools completed the assessments online whilst others completed the paper test.
It is important to remember that NAPLAN is only one way we assess how your child (and our school) are
progressing against the Syllabus documents and stage expecta ons of learning.
Years 3&5 parents will today receive their child's individual NAPLAN results. We are very encouraged by
the results this year, par cularly our Year 3 results with our school a aining above the Na onal average in
all assessment areas, but please remember, these assessments are a minor snapshot of your child's skills
and capabili es and do not assess ever aspect of their learning and development.
We congratulate all year 3&5 students on the way in which they all completed the assessment (way back in
May) with a growth mindset! Good job one and all!
