COST: $195 Using Word and Excel to Solve Business Problems STARTS: August 31 Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:00–5:30pm LIVE ONLINE INSTRUCTION We will use Word and Excel to communi- cate ideas and solve real world problems. Participants will learn to ramp up their ability to complete tasks by going deeper into the capabilities of Word and Excel. This course includes job placement resources post-completion. COST: $150 Beginner Social Dance Series STARTS: September 7 Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:00–6:30pm Fremont Campus Students will learn many dances quickly to enable them to participate in parties, weddings, and social events. Class will cover 3-4 steps of each dance each week. No partner is required. COST: $129 Cardio Dance STARTS: September 7 Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:00–5:00pm Fremont Campus This class will feature continuous aerobic movement to improve cardiovascular en- durance using social dance steps. Students will learn the steps for merengue, salsa, cha cha, rumba, west coast swing, east coast swing, lindy hop, waltz, and hustle. This class complements the Beginner Social Dance Series, but can be taken in conjunc- tion or not. No partner required. COST: $145 Chinese Folk Songs STARTS: September 11 Saturdays, 3:30–5:30pm Fremont Campus In this class, students will be exposed to the rich culture of China through folk songs. Songs will be in English and Chinese. COST: $150 Hiking in the Bay Area STARTS: September 11 Saturday & Sundays, 10:00am–12:00pm Various Locations This course will broaden the spectrum of outdoor physical education opportunities and provide necessary skills/understanding for safe participation in adventurous, outdoor hiking. A variety of hiking trails in the Bay Area will be visited. COST: $165 TaiChi & Qigong STARTS: September 11 Saturdays, 10:30am–12:30pm Newark Center Learn popular Qigong routines, including Six Sound Healing Form and Eight Section Brocade, and practice Yang Style and Chen Style Tai Chi, to provide a well-rounded ftness workout that readies the mind, body and spirit. COST: $190 Computer Literacy STARTS: October 19 Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:00–5:30pm LIVE ONLINE INSTRUCTION Learn computer concepts with an emphasis on both the personal computer and enterprise computing. Topics include hardware, application and system software, the Internet and World Wide Web, communications, e-Commerce, societal issues, systems analysis, basic programming, information systems, career opportunities and computer trends.
