Note: - Glass substrates to be tested shall be temperable float glass and be up to the requirement of

Landglass technician on-site without any visible air bubbles and foreign particles and be chamfered, diamond edged, polished, washed and dried properly;

- Room temperature in the Buyer’s workshop shall be at +38℃ max. and +16℃ min.; - Max. relative humidity in the Buyer’s workshop shall be within 80%; - The blower room shall be kept clean in order to prevent dust and dirt from coming into the system

via the quenching blower(s); - Compressed air to be supplied for the system shall be free of water and oil and be sufficient in

terms of airflow and air pressure to the Seller’s requirement; - Fluctuation of power supply shall be less than ± 5%; - Max. fluctuation of power frequency shall be less than ± 1%; - Landglass reserves the right to revise the parameters above at the final engineering stage without

prior notice as these parameters are derived from certain climate and geographic conditions including temperature (20 - 38 ℃), relative humidity (<80%) and at the sea level.

Guarantee period and After-sales service The guarantee period is one year for non-easily worn-out parts and components provided that they shall be used properly and normally and not damaged by wrong operation and lack of maintenance. This shall need Buyer’s coordination. The “guarantee period” means one year ever since the date on which a successful acceptance test or any commercial production shall be made on the tempering line. The Seller shall pay for the cost of Landglass engineers’ traveling between China and the Buyer’s site whenever service is made before the guarantee period expires if the tempering unit breaks down due to fault of the contracted machine, but the Buyer shall pay for the cost of any local transportation, communication, meals and hotel accommodation in Buyer’s country. The Buyer shall pay for the cost of Landglass engineers’ traveling between China and Buyer’s plant site, and any local transportation, communication, meals and hotel accommodation in Buyer’s country as well as a labor cost of USD450/person/day whenever service is made before the guarantee period expires if the tempering unit breaks down due to the buyer’s fault. The Buyer - Confirm, in a written form, Local Utilities and Environmental Information (See Annex IV) upon

signing of the contract, which shall be vital for the final engineering design; - Provide detailed factory plan, including but not limited to, accurate spacing and dimensions of any

concrete (steel) structures either in or outside the wall(s) of the plant building,e.g. beams, pillars or columns, upon signing of the contract;

- Confirm, in a written form, the engineering design proposal for the layout plan of tempering line. - Make payment in time to the bank appointed by the Seller according to the contract; - Supply power, clean and dry compressed air and quenching air to the equipment points set by the

Seller; - Provide a transformer adequate to supply good enough electric power for the normal operation of

the tempering line and necessary cables and cable wiring for connecting power supply from the transformer and distribution switchboard to the control cabinets, from the blower control cabinet to the blower motor, and an air compressor (0.8Mpa, 1.0M3/min.), an air tank (1.5M3), and galvanized steel pipes with a diameter of one inch for connecting the air tank and the air distribution box as per specifications recommended by the Seller;

- Supply hotel accommodations, meals, safety, medical care, local transportation and telephone card of Seller’s technical personnel;

- Supply free materials, glass substrates, testing and measuring apparatus and instruments for tempered glass, necessary lifting mechanism, forklifts (10 tons) , interpreter (English – Chinese) and manpower (at least two mechanical helpers and two electrical helpers who are going to work on the machine when it is installed and accepted) necessary for the installation and acceptance test of the equipment. Note: Air compressor& Air tank Compressed air shall be needed for running the furnace and technical requirements on air compressor and air tank, which shall be the buyer’s supply, are as follows: The air compressor for this furnace shall generate 1m3 /minute compressed air and the discharge pressure shall be 0.8Mpa and the air tank to be linked between the air compressor and piping shall be able to work under 1.0MPa with a volume of 1.5m3.

Annex 2.

The Horizontal Roller Hearth Tempering Furnace for Flat Glass of LD-A Series

Horizontal Roller Hearth Intelligent Tempering Units of LD-A Series manufactured by LANDGLASS mainly consists of a loading table, a heating chamber, a flat quenching section and an unloading table together with such auxiliaries as blower, an air distribution center, electrical control cabinets and an Siemens MP277. I. Loading Table Conveyor rollers in the loading table are made of steel, covered by red natural rubber NBR with high density in order to alleviate the roller impact onto glass sheet upon loading and also prevent glass sheet from scratching and breaking. Any loading table larger than 2000mm x 3000mm is attached with a built-in lifting mechanism manually controlled just to make loading of large sized glass sheet easier. Glass sheets are conveyed forwards by the rollers until they are stopped in standby mode in front of the furnace door when they are detected by photocells. Moving distance of glass sheets each time can be altered through man-machine interface of the computer based on size of loading. Photocells located in front of the furnace shall also measure length of glass sheet in conjunction with Siemens PLC. Bearing mounting brackets -- standard guide rails made of aluminum-alloy sections specially adopted by Landglass shall not only avoid the high tolerance suffered by using channel beams as the support brackets and the difficulty in making maintenance, but also greatly facilitate assembling and disassembling. It takes only five minutes to assemble one section, which looks nice. The loading table is equipped with top quality bearings and almost free of maintenance.

By means of adjunctive linkages, the lifting table of ball castors with synchronous mechanism – one of the patented technologies of Landglass, lifts the four ends of the table evenly and simultaneously and prevents large-sized glass sheet from breaking, shifting about and resultant reduced yields caused by pneumatic cylinder driving.

II Heating Furnace Heating furnace is welded up with high quality steel manufactured to the China National Standard. The well-set furnace body consists of top and bottom parts. The top part can be lifted by remote control in order to make maintenance and furnace purge. Imported ceramic rollers are used to convey glass sheets. Patented Landglass synchronous driving system for the ceramic rollers and O ring belts shall reduce the impact onto the ceramic rollers from the vibration of driving system and asynchronous defects. Heating device, a new and unique face-array or matrix heating elements, allows a longer lifetime of the heating elements and more even internal furnace temperature. Built-in top convection system in the heating furnace shall keep the temperature much more even between the top and the bottom parts of the furnace so as to allow manufacture of high quality glass. Ceramic rollers installed in Landglass furnace are located between the top and the bottom parts of the furnace body, thus no accessing into the heating chamber of any human beings is required when dismounting rollers. And glass sheets shall be dumped out of the heating chamber directly in emergency so that any adhesion between rollers and glass shall be avoided. Equipped with a special mechanism for handling ceramic rollers, mounting and dismounting of ceramic rollers can be done without climbing into the furnace. Therefore, machine downtime shall be reduced by over one half. A huge number of metal fasteners are used in conventional process for sticking insulation linings of the heating chamber so that a large volume of heat is conducted to the outside of the furnace through the metal fasteners and the resultant heat loss is tremendous. While conductive heat loss from Landglass furnace is minimized by adopting patented Landglass anchoring technique, in which, no metal pieces are exposed out of the linings. Temperature difference between outer furnace wall and the ambient temperature is less than 45℃ under the atmospheric temperature. Within 12 hours after the heating power is turned off, furnace temperature is reduced by only 150℃. It takes only 30 minutes to pre-heat the furnace temperature up to working temperature the next day. Landglass has made multiple renovations in the heating process in the furnace with plenty of investigation and study, and completely replaced the conventional structure of massive radiation plate with the latest face array or matrix heating element system. Its heating temperature and power changes with sizes of glass sheet, and overcomes thoroughly the disadvantages of high breakdown rate, low ratio of heat utilization and slow thermal response in applying radiation plate so that glass shall be heated quickly and evenly. Heating efficiency and working life of the flat heating elements adopted by Landglass in its face-array or matrix heating element sections are remarkably greater and longer than the conventional heaters and allows operation almost without any malfunction Top air convection (heating balance) system shall allow heated air from the top part of the furnace to be injected onto the upper surface of glass sheets. It shall not only eliminate imbalance of temperature between the top and the bottom surface of glass, but also shorten its heating time as well.

III Quenching Sections 1. Flat Quenching Section of LD-A Series Quenching section for LD-A Flat Glass Tempering units consists of air nozzle blocks and glass conveyor rollers. The air nozzle blocks are divided into the top and the bottom parts, which are connected with the air distribution center. Controlled by encoders, the air nozzle blocks shall open and close accurately and promptly in order to regulate distance of air-blowing promptly and control the quenching pressure accurately in accordance with glass thickness. The top and the bottom air nozzle blocks are formed of multiple plenums connected in parallel. Efficiency of exchanging cold air with hot air is, therefore, greatly improved so as to facilitate immediate diffusing of hot airflow. 2. Features of Quenching Section: Specially machined steel rollers, allowing no shifting of Kevlar ropes wound upon themselves during their application, ensure that moving glass sheets are correctly positioned and moving glass sheets shall not run into one another. Engineering design of the nozzle structure is critical to the quality of tempered glass as a whole. Required airflow and pressure are sufficiently studied, and optimized nozzle geometric shape, nozzle pitch and nozzle diameter are all chosen in such a way that air marks on glass sheets shall be minimized. Gaps and slipways between air nozzle blocks shall not only be able to dissipate hot air evenly and effectively, but also drop cullet onto the ground through the gaps and slipways by opening and closing just as a scissors in case glass sheet is broken in the air nozzle blocks. It is easy to service in this section. IV Unloading Table Basically same as the loading table, the unloading table is a glass conveyor. Due to demand of the process, temperature resistant conveying rollers, sparsely wound with Kevlar ropes, are installed at one of its end connected with the quenching device. Thus, the rubber-covered rollers shall not be burnt by hot glass sheets coming from the quenching section in emergency. Motion of glass is controlled by photo cells installed at the end of the unloading section.

V Air Supply System Air supply system mainly consists of blower, throttle control mechanism, blast air ducts and air collection box. The same blower system shall apply to both quenching and cooling. Controlling throttle openings of blower via its regulating mechanism, air pressure shall be controlled by computer based on glass thickness. Air pressure for the top and bottom glass surface shall be accurately controlled in glass quenching by means of air pressure balancing mechanism installed in the air collection box and glass flatness is thus ensured. Through experiments and tests made by Landglass technical personnel as well as research and development by Chinese experts in hydrodynamics, the air supply system, which has been optimized for many times, shall provide unhindered and smooth airflow with low noise. Installed blower power and power consumption in production shall be remarkably reduced while maintaining the quality of tempered glass. In the air supply system, energy saving is made by rationally controlling working status of the blower with the aid of software and hardware installed. More power shall be saved than tempering units of similar models made by other manufacturers: a power savings of nearly 560KWH each day shall be achieved calculated on 5mm thick glass tempering on condition that production is done daily at full loading and the large-sized blower runs at full capacity for two hours. VI Control System

Control system consists of a lower hierarchical SIMATIC S7-300 main control system (PLC) from SIEMENS, temperature control system and driving control system. Siemens MP277 is used as its higher hierarchical computer system. Owing to its high electromagnetic compatibility, SIEMENS PLC SIMATIC S7-300 possesses of the highest industrial applicability with the highest allowable ambient temperature of up to 60℃ and a higher vibration and shock strength. Operation control system shall control over a continuous production process, in which, technical parameters contained in the driving control program shall be modified as per glass thickness, but everything shall be controlled automatically by the PLC. On video monitor, a fine and explicit man-machine interface includes help page, main page of the system, temperature display page, page of technical parameter setting, page of temperature profile at the top and the bottom, page of the historical alarming archive, page of real time alarming, test pages of system input and output, page of analogue test, page of ceramic roller motion test, page of know-how on tempering and etc. The system possesses of such functions as reading and writing of the technical parameters, automation control, single section operation test and self-diagnosis as well as alarm prompt. In the electrical control system, the higher hierarchical computer and the lower hierarchical PLC apply a relatively independent control mode. User-Friendly Graphical Human-Machine Interface shall be based on Siemens MP 277 system which shall provide safety against frequent power failure, higher fluctuations in mains voltage, and shall provide higher electro-magnetic compatibility, higher resistance to vibration and shock and higher reliability over industrial control computer It differs considerably from industrial control computer in terms of cost, reliability, and compatibility to electro-magnetic, resistance to ambient temperature, humidity and dust. System software for thicker glass breaking control shall eliminate breaking of thicker glass in the heating furnace, which often happens without such software since there shall be a bigger temperature difference between surface and inside of thicker glass.

control system, which demonstrates to the utmost extent the understanding and accumulated experience of Landglass in glass tempering process and shall exert actively to help green-handed operator achieve the required glass flatness. Air pressure in the air collection box is turned into electrical current signal by a pressure transducer, and then the pressure signal is shown on the video monitor via Siemens control system. Air pressure and airflow are controlled via throttle opening control. Landglass has selected and applied the latest Siemens SIMATC S7-300 as the kernel of its control system. Control system of Landglass shall be upgraded and updated along with each renovation on SIEMENS industrial technology. VII Remote Diagnosis With remote diagnosis system applied by Landglass technical personnel with tele-communication technology and unique hardware modules of Siemens control system, diagnosis and troubleshooting shall be done on customer’s tempering unit in such a way that machine downtime shall be minimized and continuous production shall be ensured for its customers. Glass heating quickly and evenly and power consumption reduction shall be accomplished by applying professional Siemens modules for furnace temperature control in conjunction with power control technology. This is absolutely different from glass heating control with only PCB cards inserted in an industrial computer adopted by other manufacturer of tempering units.

Requirement on glass substrates to be tempered

No visible air bubbles and foreign particles, complying with ANSI Z97.1-2004 or EN 12150 – 1:2000 standard of top quality float glass and shall be chamfered, diamond edged, washed and dried properly

The Buyer shall provide glass in each thickness in size of 500 x 500 mm before the actual test runs for pre-testing. Specific quantity needed for this will be stated by the Seller's technician on-site.
