• The recent cases of flu in Mexico has the potential to spread worldwide due to the high numbers of people travelling from country to country.
• Although the government and health services will watch the situation carefully and have stockpiled anti-viral drugs (ones that combat flu) there are some VERY SIMPLE things that we can ALL do:

• Use a handkerchief or tissue to sneeze into. When we have finished with a handkerchief it needs to be disinfected and washed. Tissues should not be put in the bin but flushed away!
• Wash your hands REGULARLY, not just after using the toilet. Anti-bacterial hand washes can also be purchased and used easily without using water!
• NOTE: when washing hands with soap and water sing two verses of ‘Happy Birthday to you’ in your head!
