For Better Or Worse The past twelve months has shown some encouraging signs in relation to the market starting to ‘self heal’ with sellers and buyers coming more freely to the negotiating table. Fiscal tightening and stringent lending criteria remain the two principal factors which are restraining the volume of transactions. We have been enormously encouraged, however, by the robustness of the middle and upper markets and our expertise in both initial advice and marketing strategies have resulted in a number of highly successful sales. There are a number of mixed messages in the media relating to the current state of the housing market and indeed the outlook for the future, but history has proven that, long term, property remains a sound investment but firstly and foremostly it should always be viewed as a home.
