The popular vocalist, teacher and choir leader, Gemma Sugrue is
Kerry’s 2018 local Culture Night Ambassador. She most recently
featured as the soloist with Jenny Greene and the RTE Concert
Orchestra, recreating 90s dance classics at Electric Picnic and
sold out shows at the 3 Arena Dublin, The Marquee Cork and Galway
Arts Festival. She is board member at ViP, a global network of
voice experts.
For Culture Night Gemma is urging everyone to enjoy the free
events on the evening and look at September 21st as a starting
point for a greater relationship with the many cultural offerings
available in Kerry.

Chroí, a specially commissioned piece by Neil Martin, joining the
forces of National Folk Theatre musicians, classical musicians and
the NFT choir. Artist-in-Residence, Conor O’Grady will work with
visitors to the gallery on an interactive project as well as
showing visitors around his studio. Casting Light on Ireland’s
Bronze Age: Artists, Holger Lonze and Karen Hendy will bring the
story behind Ireland’s archaeological artefacts alive, casting
replicas of small sculptures inspired by the archaeology of Kerry.
