DB11 is not jus t a car, but the lates t in a line of spor t ing As ton Mar t ins with a legacy that has la s ted for over 70 years. Just as it was then, today it s proposit ion is as enticing as it is unique: Grand Touring in it s purest form. With DB11 the usual conf l ic t s no longer apply. Ride or ref inement? Comfor t or response? Why not have them all instead? With visionary design and impeccable Brit ish engineering, DB11 t akes t radi t ional ly opposed objec t ives and uni tes them together within one exquis i te ly s t y led machine, a car that is the def init ive Grand Tourer, but with the look and dynamism of an Aston Mar t in.
The family now has three dis t inc t members; DB11 Coupe, the open-top DB11 Volante, both fully equipped with the 4-lit re twin-turbo V8 power train, and the f lagship, DB11 A MR, the spor t ing powerhouse fuel led by our 5.2- l i t re t win- turbo V12 eng ine.

Form need not a lways fo l low func t ion. I f the way a car looks is derived from the way it is engineered, a harmonious whole is created that is key to the design philosophy of As ton Mar t in. The very essence of this approach is found in DB11.
The func t ion commands that the car’s shape clothes a s tate of the ar t bonded aluminium monocoque, while delivering an aerodynamically s table plat form at speeds of up to 208mph. I t must channel the wind to provide genuine downforce, provide enough air to allow engines of up to 630bhp to breathe properly and facilitate cooling for the large disc brakes that reside at each corner.
The form dic t ates that DB11’s sur faces hold t rue to Aston Martin’s historic sense of propor tion and detailing, honouring designs we have produced in the past while never losing focus on the future.
The inimit able A s ton Mar t in s ignature i s ins t ant ly recognisable, from the unmistakeable grille and majest ic c lamshell bonnet at the f ront , through the sweeping roof l ine to i t s muscular haunches at the back.

AMR: I t s t ands for A s ton Mar t in Racing and i t ’s used to describe the car that sit s at the pinnacle of the DB11 range. When we talk about racing being in our DNA, we really mean i t , for A s ton Mar t in was making race car s long before we s tar ted making road cars. Today our racing ac t ivit ies ex tend from domest ic club racing up to and including Formula One.
DB11 AMR is a Grand Tourer, inspired and informed by rac ing . I t comes wi th more power, g reater per formance, enhanced ag i l i t y and a su i te o f in te r io r and ex ter io r upgrades to create a car that remains a DB11 to i t s core, but wi th a hard-edged charac ter to set i t apar t .
I t s hardened charac ter i s immediate ly c lear; s t r ik ing AMR forged wheels, designed for their s t reng th and light weight , combined with a bold black grille, Carbon Fibre enhancements and darkened t ai l pipes to ment ion but a few.

Elegance personif ied, DB11 Volante provides the dream of top down Grand Touring. Even with the roof in place, the jaw fel l ing DB11 beaut y, propor t ion and presence remains intac t . I t t akes a mere 14 seconds to t ranspor t you to the world of open-air motoring where the growl of the 4 - l i t re t win turbo V8 i s at i t s pures t , and jus t 16 seconds to return you to the coupe- like cocoon of ref inement found with the roof in place.

Superb audio options are available, with Premium and Bang & Olufsen upgrades for the ult imate in-car surround-sound experience. Refinement, handling, stability per formance and ef f iciency – each area requires met iculous focus on aerodynamic capability. Which is why DB11’s shape has been craf ted not only to widen the eye, but to simultaneously channel air f low over, under and, even through the car.
Notably the signature curlicue gil l at the side of car not only vent s high pressure air away from the wheel arches to increase frontal downforce, i t also manages the f low of air along the side of the car and into the Aeroblade™ at the rear. This draws air through the C-pil lar, into the body and out through a slit vent just ahead of the deployable rear wing, to create exceptional downforce without spoiling the car’s line. Even the arms of the exterior mirrors have been designed as downforce-enhancing aerofoils.

Both DB11 Coupe and Volante are powered by a muscular 4-litre twin-turbo V8 offering 503bhp, backed by a solid wall of torque and accompanied by a thundering soundtrack.
Placing such an engine in a light and aerodynamic Grand Tourer cont rol led by a double wishbone suspension and a s t andard l imi ted s l ip di f ferent ia l promises sc int i l la t ing per formance and handling. The DB11 Coupe hit s 62mph from rest in 4 seconds f lat , with the Volante just 0.1 seconds behind i t , t imes more c lose ly a s sociated wi th supercar s than t radit ional Grand Tourer s, both accompanied by a thunderous V8 soundtrack. Those searching for the ult imate GT driving experience, be i t measured by accelerat ion, top speed or s imply sound, wil l f ind that the 630bhp DB11 AMR exceeds ever y expec tat ion. With 630bhp, i t can accelerate to 62mph in jus t 3.7seconds, accompanied by a soundtrack that combines sweetness and savager y in a way that i s the exclusive preser ve of the thoroughbred V12 engine. Flat out , i t won’t s top pull ing unt i l i t has reached an a s tounding 208mph.
But such power needs to be cont rol led, which is why all aspec t s of the DB11 AMR suspension from it s springs and dampers to it s ant i-roll bars and bushes have been revisited and, where necessary, modif ied. The aim was not simply to make the car more spor t ing and therefore risk it s GT appeal, but to provide a broader dynamic reper toire, where it remains as soothing as ever in GT mode but with Sport and Sport Plus modes that break out of traditional GT conf ines and deliver a driving experience wor thy of the greates t spor t s cars.
