It’s also time for my final message as the GOCC President. Of course, that leads me to think about all the amazing people who have made it such a great year and I’d like to share those thoughts with you, as they served each of you as members of our fantastic club. I want to thank Past President Chuck Cooley for his advice and wisdom; Vice President George Rose for his many hours of service to the club, being my back up and wingman; Secretary Clarrisa Bublitz for keeping our words and meetings on track and Treasurer Larry Ficca for keeping us in the black and coordinating our parades. Many thanks to Newsletter Editor Michele Roberts for her great energy and dedication to her job that we see in added graphics, pictures and stories to cover club events, plus cleverly disguised hidden numbers! I also give my thanks to Events Coordinator Dave Van Asten, who stepped in to help us out and truly embraced the responsibilities. Many thanks to Webmaster, Michael Dosa, who spent many hours putting together a brand new, fantastic web site that represents the club so well. And, thanks to Dave Ellingson, who kept us on track with NWACC and the Corvette Museum. I will always remember Dave’s message, “I have some more tickets for sale! You could win a brand new Corvette”. Deedee Ellingson, thanks for keeping the club’s history updated. Margie Shurts, for the WOW weekend event and leading the Sunshine Committee. Many thanks to Sally Kane and Bill Stoner, who were 2012-2013 E-Board members, but due to other responsibilities left their positions early, but served us well during their tenure. What a great club we have, with so many club members stepping up and participating to help with the Grey Chevrolet GOCC 40 th year celebration and the Kitsap Mall Car Show. I’m so proud of all of you for getting it done! I can’t say enough to thank Bob & Pam Battin for funding this great car show and Dave & Deedee Ellingson, who got us organized. Christina Dosa, thank you for taking the time to coordinate the Toys for Tots program for the club. Many Kitsap County children were blessed by her efforts to get the toys to the Fairgrounds. Trenna Otis showed her caring and compassion by collecting for the Alive Women’s Shelter.
