Daniel J. WoltermanPresident and CEOMemorial Hermann Healthcare System

Mr. Wolterman serves as the 2008 Partnership’s Chairman of the Board for the Greater Houston Partnership.

He was selected president and CEO of Memorial Hermann Healthcare System (MHHCS) in November 2002.

Wolterman joined MHHCS in May 1999 as senior vice president of hospital operations. He was responsible for operations and activities of the System, including acute care hospitals.

Prior to Memorial Hermann, Wolterman served as senior vice president of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word Health Care System. He has more than 20 years of experience in various executive positions in the health care industry.

His community involvement includes the Texas Hospital Association, Community Health Care Corporation, National Committee for Quality Health Care, Coalition to Protect America’s Healthcare, American Heart Association, Houston Minority Business Council and Xavier University MHA Alumni Association. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Texas School of Public Health.

Wolterman received numerous honors, including Modern Health Care’s “Up and Comers” Award. He is a diplomat of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
