Neighboring buildings of the games wereequipped with anti-aircraft missiles by theMinistry of Defense. The contractors workingon the buildings had to check in daily usinghand and iris scanners to check theiridentification and credentials.

The site used for the games will transform intothe largest wetland area in the UnitedKingdom after the games end. Over 300,000plants were transported into this formerlandfill in an effort for transformation of thespace.

To prepare for the daily inf lux of people going

When it comes to the athletes its blood, sweat, tears, determination, to name just a few things. But what about the locations of the gamesthemselves?

I was curious and decided to do a littleinvestigating, and here are some of the mostinteresting facts I heard about transformingLondon in preparation of this year's summerOlympics.

The Olympic Committee prepared for theestimated 11 million visitors to the games byputting nearly 3 billion dollars into therenovation and preparation of London. Over 9million seating tickets to various events weresold. Prices ranged from thirty to threethousand pounds.

The Olympic stadiums roof was built usingsome 2,000 tons of recycled gas piping. At itspeak it will be able to accommodate 80,000spectators.

    How To Solve Sudoku Puzzles:

To solve a Sudoku, you only need logic and patience.

No math is required. Simply make sure that each 3x3

square region has a number between 1-9 with only

one occurrence of each number. Each column and row

of the large grid may only have one instance of 1-9.

The Silver Medal, which goes to thesecond-placefinisher, is made of92.5% silver andother base metals.

Well, I have finally been able to utilizemy skills as a water dog. Gone are thedays of boring backyard kiddie pools, allthanks to my recent discovery of theLake County Dog Park System.

The parks are doggie heavens. As long asyou are over four months old and up todate on your vaccinations, youre off theleash as soon as youre out of the

parking lot! There are areas we can roamfree and a lake to take a dip in from 6a.m. until 7 p.m. or sunset (whichevercomes later). The bravest of us dont

just dip, but cannonball and dog paddle toour hearts delight. We found no

shortage of tennis balls to retrieve, andour parents found mutt mitt dispensersfor those times we had to turn to themwith the look that says be a dear andtake care of that for me, would you?

Murphy, skeptical at first, finally got hispaws wet when he saw that everyone wasdoing it. Id call him a copy-cat but heresents all feline references. Mom anddad snapped some great photos. Theysaid they prefer the visual memories.Something about the stink of wetdogs..but even they thought the day wasworth the price of admission! Tell yourloved ones to pack plenty of towels, andmaybe that problem would be solved.

If you need me, check the lake!- Franklin

A badminton player and a tennis

player get into a car accident, and it's

a bad one. Both cars are heavily

    damaged, but amazingly neither of

them are hurt. After they crawl out of

their cars, the badminton player spots

the other's tennis gear and says, "So

    you're a tennis player, that's

    interesting. I'm a badminton player ...

Gosh! Just look at our cars, there's

nothing left, but fortunately we are

unhurt. This must be a sign from God

that we should meet and be friendsand live together in peace for the rest

    of our days."

The tennis player replied: "I agree

with you completely; this must be a

    sign from God!"

    The badminton player continued,

"And look at this - here's another

    miracle. My car is complete

    demolished but this bottle of

whisky didn't break. SurelyGod wants us to drink this and

    celebrate our good fortune."

Then he hands the bottle to the tenni

player. The tennis layer nods his hea

in agreement, opens it and takes a fe

big gulps from the bottle, then hand

it back to the badminton player.

    The badminton player takes the

bottle, immediately puts the cap bac

on, and hands it back to the tennis

player. The tennis player asks, "Areyou having any?"

    The badminton player replies, "No.

think I will just wait for the police to

turn up and sort this out ..."

    WhatsInside:

    Dedicated To A Healthier Environment

Mike, one of the guys who works for me, wasrecently informed by a client that the dog days ofsummer was so named to coincide with theappearance of the Dog Star, Sirius, in theconstellation Canis Major. In the NorthernHemisphere, Sirius can be seen in July andAugust. Down in the Southern Hemisphere, it isbrightest in January and February. I thought thiswas a neat little tid-bit, and wanted to share itwith you. Use it to stump or impress friends, family, and co-workers.

As we wrap up the dog days of summer, I lookedback to realize I had the pleasure of working withall members of my immediate family these pastfew months. Sure, John and Jan are around forthe most part, but this year we threw Kathy intothe fire - I mean put her to work. By the time youread this, she will already be back in Iowa for her4th year of college. I trust that a summer ofworking with me will be motivation enough tostay in school, get good grades, and move on tobigger and better things! For some reason I guessall of the long summers and cold winters havent

steered John away from the business. And Jan?Shes got an iron-clad contract because of thepromise she made me September 19, 1981 thatshe would be in it for the long haul.

Summers passing also means we are starting toget back into full- on investigation and designmode. We are looking at a few different projectsright now for clients who are fed up with the largetemperature fluxuations and extreme negatives oftheir systems. They are the ones who arefrustrated by hearing I dont know why this ishappening, everything appears to be working

    right from their contractors.

With proper and thorough investigation, measurement, information and initial air testingwe can really get to the bottom of things. This iswhat I take the most pride in. Nothing makes mesmile more than the relief a client shows in theirtone of voice or in their appreciative notes oncewe design and implement the ideal comfortsystem for their needs. Its the realization thatthey can actually be comfortable which is so cool.I hope YOU already know that. Stay cool, andwell talk soon.
