VA Comp Three-Panel Comic Strip (Adapted) This is a project that is near and dear to me. Some comics are presented as a single image but the classic three Panel Comic Strip is ideal for students to learn the craft. Why? Because the three-panel strip affords the students the opportunity to create a story that has a beginning, a middle, and an end. Example A shows different “camera” positions. These are very important. Materials: • Pencil • Sketch Paper • Final paper

This is a project that is near and dear to me. Some comics are presented as a single image but the classic three Panel Comic Strip is ideal for students to learn the craft. Why? Materials:• Pencil• Sketch Paper• Final paper• Your choice of coloring tools.

Procedures:

1) Develop some story ideas and make rough sketches of the. The two primary concerns you will have regarding this project are the words and pictures and making them go together

2) Edit your story into the concept of a beginning, a middle, and an ending.3) Perfect the drawings and words. NOTE: write in the words or dialogue first and then

draw a caption, word balloon, or thought bubble. Remember, I did this for 10 years at Marvel. LOL!

4) Transfer your work to the final paper.5) Use markers to darken your lines and color appropriately.

Presentation:

You work should be uploaded onto your Office 365Notebook.

•Include all preliminary sketches and designs.
