The CRAY-1 with its inventorSeymour Cray

In mid-to-late 1970’s CRAY-1was the fastest computer in theworld.

Clock speed of 12.5ns (80MHz)

Computaional rate of 138MFLOPS during sustainedperiod.

250 MFLOPS in short bursts.

Unveiled in 1976 by its inventorSeymour Roger Cray

Had spawned a new class ofcomputer called”The Supercomputer”.
