CRAZY CHARACTER CUBES Find three small cubed boxes... Create hilarious twisting cubes with your favourite Dahl characters! You will need: Three small cubed boxes, pencil, ruler, paints or colouring pens, drawing pin, bead, glue ...and push a pencil all the way through them Cut out all the squares Stick a drawing pin into the rubber end of the pencil Stick a bead onto the lead end of the pencil glue Draw a grid 4 squares wide by 3 squares high. Each square is the size of a side of the cube Draw your four favourite Roald Dahl characters into the grid. Make sure their head and shoulders are in the first square, their body in the second and their legs in the third Paint or colour your characters Glue the squares onto the cubes Twist and turn your Dahl characters and let the giggling commence! © 2006 Jane Bull

CRAZY CHARACTER CUBES

• Find three small cubed boxes...

ROLY-POLY BIRDCreate your very own Roly-Poly Bird!

You will need: Coloured paper, crepe paper, tissue paper, scissors, pencil, glue, string, 2 paper plates

• Use coloured paper and crepe paper to cut out a neck and head, beak, wings, legs and feet, eyes

Glue them onto the edge of the plate and tail

• Rip up pieces of tissue paper and glue them on the plate like feathers

• Snip the ends of the tail and twist the paper to look like feathers

• Tie a piece of string to the top of the bird for hanging
