CHALLENGE Create a digital solution to develop ICT skills for children with disabilities.
PROTOTYPE *120#PAPA: A service empowering parents of children with special needs. Before kids can be engaged, they first need to be found, and this is the concept of PAPA. PAPA is a database for identifying symptoms of hearing, visual, social and learning disabilities via sms. It helps parents identify needs, so children can get the right help through health care. Simply put, PAPA meets stigma with knowledge, and hopes to make children with special needs visible in society.

CHALLENGE # 1
Create a digital solution to develop ICT skills for children with disabilities.
INSIGHTS
What is the single most important barrier?
THIS BECAUSE OF STIGMA & BASIC KNOWLEDGE
In Chad (and elsewhere) children with special needs are socially excluded.
CHALLENGE # 2 - BACK TO BASICS
Before we can create tools for children with disabilities - we need to find them and give them an environment where they can grow and have support on basic needs.
SOLUTION
We believe a database can solve this: !
- make people aware of the problem. - meet stigma with knowledge. - shorten the time to diagnose - give independence to children and a better life for families. !
Together with easy offline access through SMS/USSD.
