Congratulations! You're Done
In this tutorial, we created a simple leather background, and applied some layereffects to it. Then, we created a piece of text, duplicated it, transformed the copy, and made a couple of other copies of it along with the transformation, which createdthe 3D extrusion.
pdfcrowd.comopen in browser PRO version Are you a developer? Try out the HTML to PDF API
We converted the 3D extrusion layers to a Smart Object, duplicated it, and styled italong with the original text layer.
Then we used many layer effects and gradient fills to achieve the retro, metalliclook. We created the shadow using the Motion Blur filter, and modified its layer'sBlend Mode and position.
Finally, we used a Gradient adjustment layer to add vignetting to the final result.

Is the layer order the same as mentioned in the tutorial? Are the 3D part layer's Opacity and Fill values set to100%? It seems like the issue could be one of those things. Please check them out and feel free to leave areply with any other details you have.
