Self Assessment Improvement Question: What can the school do to improve an indicator rated Level 1 or Level 2?

1. Open your school’s Self Assessment

2. Go to Standard 3 and choose an indicator that is rated Level 1 or Level 2

3. Locate the chosen indicator in Appendix 5 in the Accreditation Handbook

4. Read the Compliance Criteria questions for the chosen indicator

5. Generate ideas on what the school can do to satisfy each Compliance Criteria question for the chosen indicator

1. Access the Google Docs folder and open the Artifact Management Tool spreadsheet

2. Edit the evidence in the AMT to match the selected evidence in the Self Assessment

3. Create and label folders for each AdvancED Standard

4. Within each Standard folder, create sub-folders for each Indicator

5. Organize the evidence by uploading documents to the Indicator folder

6. Create hyperlinks in the AMT to the documents in the Indicator folder

LET’S PRACTICE WITH INDICATOR 1.1

Create a hyperlink in the AMT to the school’s mission statement

1. Access the Google Docs folder

2. Open the Artifact Management Tool spreadsheet

3. Click on the Standard 1 tab

4. Open another browser tab, go to your school’s website, and locate the Mission Statement

5. Copy the website URL for the Mission Statement

6. In the AMT, delete “Purpose statements- past and present” and replace it with “Current Mission Statement”

7. Click on the cell, click on the Insert Link icon, and paste the link in the box
