Character Analysis Students will identify the Molly Lou Melon by writing: how she looks, she behaves, the type of person she is and her actions and reactions to things that happen around her.
• students will write something in each box/frame.
Extend this even further by having the students compare their findings and discuss if they agree or disagree with their classmates.

Analyzing a character involves looking at the words, actions, thoughts and appearance of a character. It is also important to examine the thoughts, feelings and perceptions of the other characters toward that character. All of this will help the reader
know the character, which in turn, helps them to understand why the character is doing and saying the things they are.
