First, I CNC’d a template from a CAD file.
This shows the size of the Baltic Birch plywood core in comparison to the totalsize of the seat.

Secondly, I selected walnut boards and veneer that matched. I sketched out thedifferent parts on the boards using a China maker.

I then joined the edging to thecore with biscuits, careful toposition them in areas that wouldnot be in the path of the router.

I then cut the assembly to about 1/8” to final size in preparation for routing it tothe final shape.

After some sanding, a thin layer of wax and installing hardware, the project wascomplete!
