    Oracle BI is a comprehensi'e collection of enterprise business intelligence functionality that pro'ides the full range ofbusiness intelligence capabilities, including dashboards, full ad hoc, proacti'e intelligence and alerts, and so on.Typically, organizations trac and store large amounts of data about products, customers, prices, contacts, acti'ities,assets, opportunities, employees, and other elements. This data is often spread across multiple databases in different

    locations with different 'ersions of database software.

    This topic demonstrates how to filter, sort, and sa'e the analysis you ha'e created abo'e.

    ou will add a filter to the analysis and then sa'e the filter. 1ilters allow you to limit the amount of data displayed inthe analysis and are applied before the analysis is aggregated. 1ilters affect the analysis and thus the resulting'alues for measures. 1ilters can be applied directly to attribute columns and measure columns.

    % filter created and stored at the analysis le'el is called an inline filter because the filter is embedded in the analysisand is notstored as an ob7ect in the $resentation atalog (atalog). Therefore, an inline filter cannot be reused by other

    analyses or dashboards.If you sa'e the filter howe'er, it can be reused and is nown as a named filter. (amed filters can also be createdfrom the global header.)
