Chapter 1 introduced a distinction between morality, virtues, and social ethics.  This assignment will allow you to explore and examine your basic knowledge on morality, values and social ethics before we start the application of ethics in the business world.

Instructions:

In a Word document, answer the following questions:

1. How would you define and describe morality, virtues, and social ethics, provide examples?

2. What are values?

3. Do you think values have changed in the last 20 years, why or why not and provide examples?

4. What is the difference between ethical values and other types of values? 

5. What is the difference between “value” when used as a verb, and “value” when used as a noun?

6. Which of these concepts do you think businesses need to consider?  Why?
