Election of President

• The President was not directly elected by the people• When the people voted they were actually casting a

vote for electors- # of Senators + # of Reps = electoral votes- a candidate won with a majority of electoral votes- if no majority was met, the House elected a Pres.- if no majority was met for VP the Senate elected
