Using time wisely
“Don’t be fooled by the calendar. There are only as many days in the year as you make use of. One man
gets only a weeks value from a year while another gets a years value
from a week.” -Charles Richards
How can we use our time more wisely?
Monthly and Yearly Review As we go about our days and weeks it is important to track and keep record of all that you have accomplished. Make sure every month to see what you have accomplished and set goals for the next month.
Do the same thing each year.
Weekly Planning SessionAt the end of each week review all that you have accomplished and plan out the week ahead.
Recall your months goal as well as your overall goal you are working towards.
Daily Planning Session
“Our day tomorrow starts tonight, so never begin a day until it is finished on
paper”
Daily Planning Session Conduct a planning session at the end
of each day. Review what you accomplished Make plans for the next day of how you
will work towards your goals for the specific week
Three Types of days Brainstorming Day Action Days Rest Days
Brainstorm Days Taking time for brainstorming or
thinking and discussing about ways to further your progress towards your goals will help you to stay focused and keep fresh new ideas in your mind.
Action Days These are days that you really work and
pursue your goals. Put your brainstorming to work.
For every brainstorm day you should have 2 or 3 action days.
Rest Days Rest days will give you that much
needed break for you mind to recapture itself. When we take a step back and rest it gives us a knew perspective and spurs new insights that you can put to use.
Ordering your days The order of your days is really up to
you finding a way to use these types of days that works best for you will go a long ways in your success.
