Remember, you can sign-up on-line for most classes, but we do ask you to call us for Bernina training classes. The new schedule has several new classes and a new “Block of the Month” program we are sure you will enjoy. We are proud that we earned the Bernina President’s Award at this past Bernina University Convention. It’s nice to get Bernina’s highest recognition, but our success is directly related to you, our customers. Bernina is also an important factor, supplying us with a quality product. Finally, the Berry Patch Team, Stayce, Bobby and all the other team members make the store a great place to shop. We brought back another prize from BU. The all new 700 Series Bernina Machines. This is a premium line of machines. It consists of a Sewing machine (710), a Quilter’s Edition (750) and a full Sewing and Embroidery Combo (780E). The 700 Series Bernina’s have the latest innovation in hook/bobbin and screen technology as well as wide selection of new stitches. We have the new 780E in the store for your review and the other models will soon follow. In this presidential political environment we hear a lot of discussion about job creation. Each side has its ideas about the solution to the high unemployment rate. Unfortunately we don’t hear much about the bottom line, and that is increased consumerism. You, the consumer, with your purchasing power is the driving force behind the whole economy. For many years I have reminded everyone to shop at their locally owned businesses when possible. We do not take your support for granted and are grateful for your loyalty. Thank You, The entire Berry Patch Team An Open Invitation: QUILT SITTER NEWS What ever your skill level, what ever your experi- ence, what ever your taste or your brand of ma- chine, all are invited to attend. Each get together is a lecture/demonstration that lasts about an hour and a half. No machine is needed. Gail, or a guest presenter, will offer a pattern, including a sample quilt or top, a slightly different technique or concept and a little entertainment. Bring a project of your own to show and share. Get encouragement with any problems or ques- tions. Plus, you're sure to find inspiration for future quilts and sewing. In December we'll have a White Elephant ex- change; January will see the beginning of a new mystery project. Lots more will follow in the months ahead. My BeRNiNa® Machine Owners intro ClassesWe’re excited about the training series that has been developed by Bernina to help you master your machine. These classes are available for all new machine purchases and are free of charge when you purchase your machine from the Berry Patch.

If you have previously taken the guide classes, the information is the same -- only the names of the classes have changed.

If you have purchased your machine out of our marketing area, your dealer can pay the Berry Patch to provide your training and warranty - on a “space available” basis. If you purchased your machine from us, we are happy for you to take a refresher

class at any time. Remember, not all Bernina training is the same. Train with the best at the Berry Patch!

Many classes have kits that are required and we have tried to keep their expense to a minimum. Many classes do not require a kit, but do require supplies. We ask that you purchase the class supplies from the Berry Patch. This is the only way we can maintain low class fees. Our classes are presented for the individual use of those attending. If you teach somewhere else or plan to do so, please let us know. We have different class fees when we train teachers. Most classes fill quickly, so we suggest you register early to reserve your spot!

Whenever there is a question about you participating in a class, don’t hesitate to discuss it with us. We try to accommodate everyone if possible.

This symbol represents classes that require you bring your sewing machine.

This symbol represents classes that specialize in handwork.

Skill level ISome sewing experience will be helpful. Basic use of your sewing machine may be required. Some Skill Level I classes are true beginner’s classes and you start from the very beginning.

Skill level IIThese are not basic sewing classes, so you will need a background...perhaps the basic classes or experience in other areas of sewing. When machines are required, you should be well familiar with the functions of your specific model of machine.

We believe that our class schedule is an important part of the service we provide. Our teachers and staff work hard to provide quality training in many areas and we appreciate your participation.

In the future, we will make three the minimum number of students for a class to be held. We ask that you sign up for the classes you wish to take as soon as you decide, rather than wait to see if the class makes with the minimum three students. This will help us with scheduling.

Finally, we ask that you call us if you have signed up and paid for a class, but are unable to attend. If you call us three days before the class date, we will be happy to refund your fee. This happens often and the class space is unused. Many of the classes have a waiting list of students that would like to attend.

Thanks for your understanding!
