"Don’t tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass.” ~ Anton Chekho Today, more than ever, students need creative outlets and time to explore. Carving out time and space for creative writing provides essential benefits for their well-being, sense of self, and interest in the world around them. For most young people today, decisions are made for them –by parents and teachers. In this workshop students will be guided with structured lessons and then will be given opportunities to experiment with their voices and writing styles, all with support along the way. By creating their own original works, they will be invested and feel ownership of their writing. As one parent wrote, “This workshop brought back my child’s joy of writing.”
