Functional innovation along with powerful constructive systems such as roofing accessories, practical accessories, monolith accessories or the calibric® system are key elements in sustainable social construction. These items decrease laborious tasks and excessive construction tasks and they protect the health of the professionals who put these products into place.

because TERREAL has worked with terracotta products since its beginning, the TERREAL Group is actively involved in protecting and enhancing the environment. Today, almost all of TERREAL’s building materials (tiles, cladding and structure products) have information on environmental and medical data allowing designers to lead projects in compliance with the HQE® approach.

This initiative falls under an overall policy of energy management and environmental protection:

• Natural gas (which reduces greenhouse gas emissions) is the only combustible used by TERREAL.

• TERREAL made substantial investments in equipments intended to eliminate smoke emitted by kilns.

• All waste is treated and recycled.

• more than 25% of the electric power used on TERREAL’s sites is from renewable sources.

Industrial LeaderOur businessClay is a complex material, which requires strong industrial know-how. Each quarry has a distinctive clay composition and requires a unique knowledge on how to best use this resource.

TERREAL’s facilities use the most modern techniques of production, often initiated and developed specifically for each individual site.

In the last 10 years, TERREAL has invested in 12 facilities in order to add a capacity of over 700.000 tons, while continuously improving the quality of the products as well as new and innovative shapes and colors.

TERREAL presents a rich collection of more than 60 models of tiles made up of a variety of flat tiles, profile tiles, interlocking roof tiles of the North and South.

Available in a large variety of shades and textures, accessory systems that serve a functional and aesthetic design, allow for an easier installation in the most complex applications.

The wide range of products is offered in over 350 colors, from the natural earth red of terracotta to aged colors. Additional styles are also available in plain and or blended colors along with a variety of shades such as light or dark, uniform or moderated and stone or slate.

• A Reference in Flat Tiles, Terreal covers 6 roofs out of 10 in France. TERREAL offers an exceptional product line, meeting all the designers needs: from the contemporary architecture with the “Elysee” to “monument Historique” flat tiles, with tiles like the “prioree” or the “Vieux paris”, especially designed for the restoration of “Le marais” in paris.

• The profile product offer of TERREAL is representative of the diversity of regions. Languedocienne, Gironde or Vendean, it has been widened from a functional point of view with the profile Evolution, designed to fully meet the demanding productivity of the brand-new housing markets; aesthetically, the canal old country reconditions the character of the roofs that need restoration.

• In small Mediterranean Tiles, TERREAL has innovated by creating the first designer tile, the Z Tile, drawn by martin Szekely and from now on, offers the “Rully”, an incomparable tile whose landscape shape radically renews the aesthetics of small molds.

• Leader of large Mediterranean tiles, TERREAL possesses the Roman-canal, the most sold tile in the world.
