    WHOAMI?

    Im not a Jack of all trades, I stick to design because that is my passion and what Iam good at but I work closely with other specialists in complimentary elds such ascopywriting, photography, PR, print, web development, SEO and social media, soif your project requires anything I dont o er myself, I can suggest the best personfor the job.

    SO, WHY WOULD YOU WANT ME TO WORK FOR YOU?

    I am not a big agency but I can provide all the services of one by outsourcingto other specialists and I have my own freelancers who manage artwork givingme the control over the initial design stages and achieving consistency across allmarketing,

    I work from my home o ce so I have teeny tiny overheads meaning I dont have topass these costs on to my clients which makes me cost e ective.

    I have a broad knowledge of a whole host of industries and audiences and havebeen working in this sector for nearly 15 years which has given me invaluableexperience to bring to the variety of clients I work with.

    Last but not least, Im a friendly, straight talking person, brimming with creativeideas and ready to let them loose to suit your business design needs.

    I am Emily. I am a designer and art director. I live in Essex and have clients locallyand nationally, I even have a few international clients too.

    Before branching out on my own, I worked for over 6 years at an award-winningdirect response agency where I was involved in re-branding, design, advertising, PRand direct-response marketing for a variety of clients - from blue chip companiesto local charities.

    You might have heard of some of the companies Ive undertaken work for in thepast - HBOS, BT, Daily Mail, PC World Business, RSPB, Dulux and Lakeland to namebut a few.

    My other responsibilities have included organising and art directing photo shoots,selecting photographers and models, print and art buying and presenting at clientmeetings and pitches. When I started my own business in 2009 I began workingwith SMEs, sole traders and local businesses and used the knowledge of workingwith the blue chip companies, or t he big boys as I like to call them, and applied thatthinking to my clients to o er impactful creative solutions that appeal to their targetaudience and will achieve outstanding results.

    In education I have achieved a BA Hons in Visual Communication and a HND inAdvertising and am fully conversant in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator,but it doesnt stop there, I feel that to keep design fresh and exciting you have toimmerse yourself in anything and everything design related, so if you see me takingphotos on my phone of something random or reading a book about layout designyou might just see that in uence in my next project!

    WEB DESIGN If youre not on the world wide web - you should be! A website isyour shop front. There is a massive market out there and with the right site designand build youll be ready for business. I design bespoke websites as well as usingtemplates dependant on what your companies needs are, and use my tried, testedand trusted web developers to make sure the site works e ectively and e cientlyfor you and caters to all your needs. And if you need an online banner an emailsignature or email marketing campaign, I can design those too.

    Things that I use specialists in their elds are:

    PHOTOGRAPHY & IMAGES I use a number of photographers for di erent jobswhether its product shots, people, on location so that you are getting the rightperson for your project. I also source stock photography myself and have an

    Illustrator who can create bespoke artwork for you. If you require video I can alsoput you in touch with people to create anything from a small soundbyte to a fullcorporate video.

    ONLINE & SEO This is a huge area of expertise that ranges from social media,Google Adwords and online campaigns, SEO (search engine optimisation), GoogleAnalytics reports - the list goes on. With Googles complex algorithms changingconstantly you need someone that is keeping up with the latest news and trends inthese areas. My colleagues can help you out in all these areas.

    COPYWRITING & PR Getting the right message to the right people is key in theseareas, my colleagues will help you target your audience with words, headlines andpress releases that tell them what you need them to hear.

    I work with my clients to design business marketing materials that solve problemsand promote the right idea to the correct audience.

    BRAND, LOGO DESIGN AND CORPORATE IDENTITY This is the key to your business,its the rst thing people see, its what they judge you on and its something thatwill stay with you for the lifetime of your business. If you want to make a goodimpression, you need to have your identity and brand guidelines in place so that allyour marketing is consistent.

    DIRECT MARKETING Stu that comes through your door, junk mail - call it what youwant but it works! A direct marketing campaign can be targeted to your audienceand get phenomenal results if you know how to do it. With my experience in DirectMarketing I can certainly show you the ropes.

    ADVERTISING & MARKETING Adverts, brochures, newsletters, lea ets, exhibitionmaterial, vehicle livery... marketing your business can come in di erent shapes andsizes and can be used in many ways. The main thing to remember is that it has tobe relevant to your audience and get your message across in a clear and concisemanner. Let me advise you on what would suit your business best.

    CATALOGUE & MAIL ORDER Selling something o the page - now theres achallenge. You are selling products or services that rely on the copy and the imagesalone to sell. So you have to make it compelling, you have to stop that person intheir tracks in about 2 seconds, I can show you how its done.
