·.ABOUT THE DIRECTOR - GENE WARECHGENE WARECH - Gene has directed close toforty plays in over 20 years at Theatres in theL.A. area, including MORNINGSAT SEVEN, at KP.The range includes, FIDDLERON THE ROOF, MANOF LA MANCHE, STREET CAR NAMED DESIREINHERIT THE WIND TO ODD COUPLE, MAJORBARBARA AND HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES.Gene has won numerous Best Director and BestProduction awards. Gene has also acted Inmany plays, including THE SHADOW BOX, forwhich he received a Best Actor award. Gene'smost recent credit is for his. direction ofAMADEUSat the Morgan-Wixson Theatre.

MAGGIE FLEMING - Meg MagrathMaggie has recently moved to LA from New Yorkwhere she has performed with the Circle RepLab, the Lamb's Theatre and the HangarTheatre. She also spent one year in Houstonwhere she performed at the Alley Theatre. Shehas her MFA in acting from Cornell University.

ABOUTOUR PRODUCER - JACK LYONSJACK LYONS is a 26 year member of KentwoodPlayers and a past President of the theatregroup. As an actor, he has been seen in suchproductions as TEAHOUSEOF THE AUGUSTMOON,ANNE OF THE 1000 DAYS, THE TENTH MANand AHATFUL OF RAIN. Jack has served on theKentwood Board of Directors for over 15 yearsin the capacity of Plays Committee, Programs,Production Manager and Publicity Chairman. Heis one of Kentwood's long time Producers. Hisfirst effort began with GIGI in 1965, followedby such productions as LOOKHOMEWARDANGELTHE MIRACLEWORKER,ALL THE WAY HOME, THEOWL AND THE PUSSYCAT, CLOSE TIES, THEANDERSONVILLETRIAL and EQUUS. The last twoproductions earning Jack Best Producer of theYear Awards. Jack, recently produced KPproductions of THE CAINE MUTINYCOURTMARTIALand AGNESOF GOD.

AMANDAMAXWELL - Babe BotrelleCRIMES OF THE HEART marks Amanda'stheatrical debut in the LA area. A recenttransplant from Dallas, Texas, where sheperformed such roles as "Nora" in BRIGHTONBEACH MEMOIRS and "Cass" in THE REAL QUEENOF HEARTS. This will be Amanda's thirdperformance in CRIMES. She first portrayed"Chick" at Mark Medoff's American SouthwestTheatre in New Mexico and later played "Meg"at Wayside Theatre in Middletown, Virginia.It's one of her goals to play every female inthe show ... 3 down I to go!!! Favorite rolesinclude "May" in FOOL FOR LOVE and "Gussie" inLYDIEBREEZE.

ABOUT THE CAST - {In alphabetical order}BEN ARNETTE - Doc PorterBen comes to the Westchester Playhouse afterstudying with Jose Quintero for the past twoyears. He also studied voice at The Universityof Southern California. Some of his creditsinclude BULL PEN at the Odyssey Theatre, BOBBYat the Eagle Theatre and THE MIKADOat TheSanta Monica Civic. He can be seen in the film"Snooze" to be released sometime this summer.

SHELLEY PONCY - Chick BoyleShelley began formal theatre training at SouthCoast Repertory at age 14. In LA she studiedwith the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute andalso studied under Rene Aubrerjonois. She wasa founding member of The Virgin Bleach TouringCompany. She originated the role of "Susan" inMarlane Meyer's THE AMERICAN SPECTATOR atThe Variety Arts; starred in the West CoastPremiere of DIG HERE FOR MONEY and has"committed murder" for Murder Mysteries, Inc.Recent credits include PICNIC, SEASONSGREETINGS,and THE PRICE at the Gem Theatre.

STEVE ATINSKY - Barnette LloydSteve made his stage debut at the age of 5 asa tumbler in a May Day Fair. He attended CalState Long Beach where he appeared in severalproductions, including THE MATCHMAKER, JUNOAND THE PAYCOCK,BOYS IN THE BANDand STORYTHEATRE. Other theatre credits are HEDDA

ROBYN ROSE - Lenny MagrathA graduate of Cal-Arts, Robyn has just returnedto the southland from New York. She hasworked at various New York Theatres, as wellas The Utah Shakespeare Festival and locallyat the Morgan-Wixson Theatre. Her favoriteroles include, "April Green" in HOT LBALTIMORE, "Sally" in TALLEY'S FOLLEY and"J oyce" and "Isabella Bird" in TOP GIRLS.Welcome to Kentwood.
