External Visual Observations

A full visual assessment was performed on A0439721, treater, as part of a thorough assessment of the equipment for continued service. The site is considered to be in sour service. The vessel was in not in service at the time of inspection. No qualitative vibration assessment could be made. There was no evidence of leaking found at the threaded bolt connection where the hose connects on the top of the treater, located where the permanent scaffolding is located. The horizontal vessel is 90% contained within the existing skid structure, with only the head and burner/stack residing outside the building. The vessel appeared to be straight and level and no deflection, deformation or corrosion was noted in any supporting structure. The saddle support is welded to the shell and the base of the saddles are welded to the floor of the skid. No cracking was noted in any weld. The vessel is 100% insulated. All insulation/cladding on the vessel was free of rips, tears, bulges and dents. No visible evidence of environmental ingress through the cladding to insulation or pressure boundary beneath was found All piping was well supported with no significant visible evidence of external corrosion or damage.

Recommendations:

Carbon build up on the east side of the treater where the burners were.

Internal Visual Observations

-Most of the internal was clean and able to be inspected. -The anodes appear to be working, they are about 60-70% deteriorated. -There were no issues with any of the welds inside the treater. -All of the sample points were clear of debris and any damage. -All bolting and flange connections inside the treater were tight and securely fastened. -All piping was removed from the treater during the inspection, piping appeared to be in good condition. -The coating on the burner side is blistering and disbonding from the shell of the treater. The primary locaction of the blistering was found at the emulsification area around the entire burner side. -Coating lost was found on the south side of the treater. UT was performed around that area and no materal loss was found during the inspection. Coating lost also noticed around the manway enterances. Chipped coating also noticed at ramdon location through the burner side. -Coating blistering was found around the emulsification zone on the serperation side throughout. -Coating disbondment found on the north wall near the emulsification zone. on the separation side. -Small coating chips less than an 1" in size found on the separation side.

Recommendations:

Replace anodes to help protect the vessel. Re-coating is recommended on the interior of the treater on the burner and separation side.
