BASF commitmentto horticulture.
New for 2020: Cevya® fungicide
Powered by Revysol®, an innovative new active ingredient, Cevya is a systemic fungicide from BASF that provides fast and continuous pre- and post-infection control of key diseases. Its unique binding activity controls biotypes that may have developed resistance to other Group 3, 7, 9 and 11 fungicides.
Titan® insecticide
Titan, the broad-spectrum potato seed-piece insecticide is also registered for in-furrow applications for greater application flexibility. Titan controls many above-ground pests, including aphids, Colorado potato beetle, flea beetle and leafhopper and reduces the tuber damage caused by wireworms. Early insect control helps plants grow without damage, maximize yield quality and reduce the risk of secondary diseases.
Find out more on how these products along with the rest of the BASF portfolio can help you work towards a successful, profitable harvest.
At BASF, we focus on the long-term well-being of every part of agriculture. Regardless of which fruit or vegetable crop you grow, our innovative portfolio of products gives your crops excellent protection against weeds, diseases and insects, keeping your crop healthy all season long for maximum quality and yield.
For over 100 years, we’ve been working together with growers, focusing our research on developing the best possible products and solutions. We listen carefully to your experiences and concerns, and we do our best to respond to the ever-changing challenges that are a part of agriculture.

Powered by Revysol®, an innovative new active ingredient, Cevya® is a systemic fungicide from BASF that provides fast and continuous pre- and post-infection control of key diseases. Its unique binding activity controls biotypes that may have developed resistance to other Group 3, 7, 9 and 11 fungicides.
Features: Fast and continuous control of key diseases in fruits and vegetables Preventative and post-infection control Unique, new binding activity to control biotypes that may have developed
resistance to other fungicides
How it Works:• Cevya fungicide is a Group 3 (triazole) fungicide, but unlike other Group 3s
on the market, it is the rst and only Isopropanol-Azole, a unique chemistry that binds tightly at the site of action and can re-congure depending on the pathogen for outstanding efcacy. In research trials, even Group 3-insensitive strains were controlled. Cevya inhibits a specic enzyme needed for fungal growth and cell membrane integrity. Applying Cevya causes inhibition of growth, membrane disruption and ultimately control of the disease.

The science
The agricultural industry is constantly facing new challenges, like the need to feed a growing world population while farming sustainably. To overcome these challenges, it’s clear that innovative solutions will be imperative for success. This is why BASF developed AgCelence® fungicides. The AgCelence products provide benefits1 beyond crop protection. They contain pyraclostrobin, an active ingredient that shuts down the mitochondria in fungal cells. Research has shown the active ingredient also interacts with crops to increase the plant’s growth efficiency and ability to manage minor stress.2 The result is larger, healthier crops and maximized yield potential.2
Increased growth efficiency and better stress management for more yield potential
The active ingredient in AgCelence fungicides act by blocking electron transport within the mitochondrial respiratory chain. This reduces the amount of available ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and lowers the cytosol pH. These combined effects activate the enzyme, nitrate reductase. This is the key to unlocking plant physiological processes that generate AgCelence benefits1, which may include:
Increased nitrogen assimilation: Allows the plant to take up more nitrogen and build larger, stronger plants.
Inhibition of ethylene biosynthesis: Research shows that AgCelence-treated plants produce more nitric oxide, which is an inhibitor of ethylene. This results in plants that can reach their full genetic maturity, leading to increased yield potential and the ability to manage minor stress such as drought.
Increased antioxidative capacity (or reduced oxidative stress): The nitric oxide (NO) produced by nitrate reductase and activated by AgCelence can release antioxidative enzymes which mop up hazardous free radicals. AgCelence benefits1 may also stimulate activity of an antioxidative enzyme called SOD (superoxide dismutase) which acts like a sunscreen, another factor that may prolong the green growing period and allow plants to continue filling grain, even under heat stress.
Crop tolerance to drought: Emissions of ethylene may be reduced, making premature ripening less likely to occur.
1 AgCelence benefits refer to products that contain the active ingredient pyraclostrobin.2 All comparisons are to untreated unless otherwise stated.

General Tank-Mix Order Guidelines.
The order of mixing is important to ensure tank-mix compatibility. If the product labels do not specify a specific mixing order, the acronym WAMLEGS is often an effective guide.
BASF always recommends that the applicator conduct a jar test prior to mixing to ensure compatibility. We also recommend the treatment of a small area before treating the entire crop.
Always read and follow the label for products before mixing.
Start by filling the spray tank half-full with water and start agitation.
