NINETEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME AUGUST 11, 2019

Thursday, August 15th is the ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY. Please note that the Vigil Mass on Wednesday will begin at 7:00 p.m., instead of the normal Mass time of 6:30, because we will be following our Holy Day Schedule. We will have Masses at 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Parish Council now meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month and the meeting will be on August 13th at 7:00 p.m.

PSR REGISTRATION FORMS for 2019-2020 are available on the credenza in the gathering space. PSR starts on Sunday, September 8, 2019. If you turn in your registration by Sunday, August 25, you can still take advantage of a $15.00 discount for early registration.

Women of Ascension will have their small BAKED GOODS SALE during the Yard Sale on August 30th and August 31st. Any baked goods would be appreciated, except cupcakes.

Mount Carmel Hospice Invites You to Hospice Volunteering 101 – Use your life-skills and talents to help others! If you are interested in becoming a hospice volunteer, whether at the bedside or behind the scenes, please join us for a special panel discussion to find out how you can support those who are at end of life. A group of Mount Carmel Hospice volunteers will discuss their roles and contributions, then answer your questions. The session can help you find the best way to serve your community. Please join us on August 13, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. or on August 20, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Mount Carmel Hospice and Palliative Care Center. Register by calling 234-LIFE (5433).
