Robin Balder-Lanoue begins her 14th year as head coach for the Blazer track and field team. Along with her track and field coaching duties, Balder-Lanoue also serves as the head coach for the Saint Benedict cross country team. In 2011 and 2009 she was named MIAC Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year, and in 2010 Balder-Lanoue was named MIAC Outdoor Track and Field Co-Coach of the Year.

In five of the last six season’s Balder-Lanoue has led the Blazers to a top-three finish at the MIAC Championships, including a second place tally indoors in 2011, culminating with her third Coach of the Year honor. In 2011, current senior Danielle Busch qualified for both the indoor and outdoor NCAA Championships in the pole vault. In the 2010 outdoor season, she guided a pair of NCAA qualifiers as well as two MIAC Champions.

In 2012 Balder-Lanoue led the Blazers through an injury plagued season, and despite key injuries through the line-up still guided the Blazers to a fourth place finish during the outdoor season, which included one MIAC champion, two runner-ups and eight total events where the Blazers were in the top-three.

A CSB alum, after graduating she became the nordic ski coach and an assistant coach for both the cross country and track and field teams at Monticello High School. She continues to participate in road races and has placed as high as 15th in the Twin Cities Marathon.
