Message from the Principal

Dear Stallions,

As we return from Spring Break, we enter the fourth and final marking period for this school year. Please review all of our up-coming events and dates for our Stal-lion Camps.

Teachers and students continue to maintain our focus on teaching, learning, and achieving, even as we prepare for the upcoming state assessments. I feel confident our students are well-prepared and will continue to build upon our tradition of excellence. We will begin testing in May.

There are still many opportunities to get involved here at CSMS. Clubs are still going strong and are always welcoming new mem-bers. To find out about specific clubs, you can view the CSMS Live Stream informational slide show from our school website (under Quick Links). The PTA is also always looking for additional support with their many initia-tives. PTA meetings follow the monthly SAC meetings.

Let’s work together to support our stu-dents in their individual journeys.

Sincerely

Mrs. La Rosa

Our annual CSMS Washington DC

trip was another success. Fifty-four

eighth graders spent the days be-

fore Spring Break in our nation’s

capital touring surrounding sites

such as Mount Vernon, Arlington

Cemetery, and more. For current 7th graders interested in attending

next year, there will an informational meeting held in the coming

weeks. Cost, payment schedules, and tentative dates will be shared

at the meeting. Start planning and saving for an amazingly educa-

tional and memorable experience.

Coral Springs Middle offers FSA preparation sessions for all grades. Camps take place right after school until 5:30pm. Our program will con-sist of standards-focused instruction, test-taking strategies, and practice lessons. Students who attend our after school sessions are strongly encouraged to bring a snack and beverage. Students are not permitted to leave cam-pus and then attend camp.

In addition to the preparation done in our class-

rooms as well as during our after school ses-

sions, there is an FSA portal available to students

and parents. At fsassessments.org there are

sample tests and information about the test for all

grade levels. If you have additional questions

regarding testing, please feel free to contact our

Guidance Director, Nicole Beaney at Ni-

[email protected].
