HOW DOES IT WORK? CSQ funding is paid directly to TAFE Queensland. Where CSQ funding doesn’t cover the full cost of your fees you will be required to contribute towards the remaining course fees. Participants of the program will undertake a skills assessment to determine RPL and gap training requirements. The cost of RPL and gap training starts at $200, the fees you pay will depend on your individual skills assessment, the qualification you undertake and delivery location. If you are interested in a course, contact us to find out more. ELIGIBILITY To be eligible for funding, participants must be existing workers or career seekers in the in the civil construction and building and construction industries who are one of the following: > An Australian or New Zealand citizen > A permanent resident of Australia > A holder of a refugee or humanitarian visa Participants must also permanently reside or be permanently employed in Queensland. Other eligibility requirements may apply. Please speak with your TAFE Queensland representative. In addition, participants must be able to demonstrate RPL experience in 80 per cent or more of competencies, gap training must be done for a minimum of two and up to a maximum of eight units, credit transfers can’t equate to more than 50 per cent of the units. The Skills Assessment and Gap Training program is an initiative of Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ). Eligibility criteria applies to all CSQ funded programs.
