Adoption of micro-irrigation helps immensely

80% of fresh water is used for irrigation of crops

The effectiveness of the water used for irrigation is dismal

Micro-irrigation helps save 30 – 40% of the water for irrigation

It thus reduces 25 – 30% of fresh water demand

It also helps increase crop productivity
