Accessibility Services (A.S)
We provide academic accommodations to qualified individuals with
disabilities. The purpose of such accommodations is to provide equal access to classroom programs and campus activities in a manner consistent with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, associated California laws and regulations, and CSU policy.
Of our many service areas, today we will stay on topic and focus on:
Technology (Assistive Technology Services Office),
Academic Support Services for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (College Link Program), and
Services to accommodate transitioning from higher education to the workplace (Workability IV Program).
Assistive Technology Services Office
(ATSO) Services Include:
Assistive Technology (AT) Assessments (consultation to match technology to student academic needs)
Assistive Technology software or hardware loans
Assistive Technology Training
Alternative Testing – Used by students who need additional time, a room with minimal distractions, or test in alternate format.
Alternate Media Used by students with vision or learning disabilities, who need their books or class material in an accessible format.

An interagency collaboration between the State Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) and various CSU/UC Campuses. The mission of WorkAbility is to assist individuals with disabilities in their transition from college into the workplace.
