Curb-Tec Europe did a demonstration for guests from Estonia on 18 Mar. The CT-3000 small extrusion curb machine was used to pour a curb over 6 cm tall horizontal rebar. Despite having a less-than-inspiring experience with another manufacturer`s machine, the owners of Betoontoode and Tasandusvalu were pleasantly surprised with the performance of the CT-3000, especially the relationship between the quality of the curb and the simplicity of the machine. Discussions are underway regarding them buying a CT-3000 to be used for a project in Finland calling for rebar.

Marek went in the day before the demo and placed the vertical rebar and set a guide line for the operator to follow while pouring the curb. He’s placing them a 6 cm height.

Got a little help from our colleagues welding the horizontal piece of rebar. You can see the slot, where we use a piece of rubber, is cut out of the mold below where the compactor tube enters.

Poured a really beautiful eight meters of curb with a height of 30 cm in a few minutes and had no problem going over the rebar. Everyone was highly impressed with the CT-3000.
The work is there… the funding isn’t always though.
