FOODS 9Students are introduced to safe food and
equipment handling, nutrition and meal planning. Cookingexperiences provide introduction to
recipe comprehension and food preparation.
FOODS 10Students are introduced to safe food and
equipment handling, recipe comprehension and efficientkitchen habits while working in the Foods lab. Planning andpreparation of healthy meals, and the introduction of baking
techniques are a key focus to Introductory Foods.
FOODS 20Students employ food safety and sanitation practices as they
strengthen culinary techniques in the lab. Bread making,preparation of hot and cold foods and preparing goodnutritional choices for energy and health are a focus.

FOODS 30Innovative techniques in preparation and presentation ofappetizers, meals and specialty baking are developed.
