THE RULES • There are 4 categories based on 4 different colors.

• These colors represent the race you will be in judging by a random selection choice.

• Who ever wins in each colored race will receive the same prize as the other 1st place colored section.

• Each race consists of 3 Nautical miles

THE DHOW SIZE• There is different categories in this sport

• 30 feet

• Raced with 10 people

• (although isn't quite used anymore in races)

• 40 feet

• Raced with 12 people

• (which is used in all competitions)

• Teak wood

o Lightweight

o Strong

o Flexible

CAPTAIN (NOKHITHA)• Training

• Encourage

• The technique of rowing

• The alignment of the boat in the race

TRAINING • The training should be longer then the race distance

• Heaver boat

TEAM• First two: to take the technique of rowing from the captain

• The rest of the team follow the first two

ORGANIZING COMMITTEE• The races begin with the flare gun

• There are three boats from the O.C

• The last boat records all races by video

• The first three positions must have their boats weighed

PRIZES

• First place winners receive 100,000 dirham and in some cases an automobile

• Second place teams receive 75,000 dirhams

• 3rd place 50,000

• The rest of the contenders receive 30,000 dirhams
