carving Tikis. Weaving is also part of art in the Cook

Islands because we love our hats and fans etc.

Usually when we get tattoos in the Cook Islands it has a symbol of our family.

With carving a Tiki there are special ways to do it and if you don’t do it right it won’t turn out the way you wanted it.

Cook Island food is very

similar to other Island food.

In the Cook Islands we

especially love our seafood

Another thing we love is a

dish that is very sophisticated

Chop Suey.

Also we especially love

Donuts because it goes well

with chop suey and many

other dishes.

When dancing the hula your

shoulders must be still and

straight and you must show

compassion.

There are many types are

dances there is the hula and the

men’s dance where they move

their legs and knees.

The hula is expressed by girls

or ladies moving their hips.

To go with the traditional

dance is obviously a cultural and

beautiful costume.

When men dance you can see

how different to the women's

dance.

Tipping isn’t expected and is contrary to Cook Islands'

custom.

Most Cook Islanders are considered Christians so we all go

to church and worship.

Sun baking around the resort pool or on a beach is fine, but

bathers shouldn’t be worn outside the resort.

In some Islands it is not required to wear seatbelts while

driving because the Cook Islands are very safe.
