MAKING A HISTORYFounded in November 2011

The founder is a coffee lover, but since she doesn’t really like the bitter flavor, most of the time she wil use sugar and creamer for her coffee, thus it’s easier to go for 3-in-1 instant coffee instead.

One morning, she wanted to make a cup of coffee for breakfast. She took one sachet and when she tore the sachet, an idea crossed her mind.

Isn’t it boring to have to tore open the coffee sachet? Why is there no instant coffee that comes in a pill or tablet form? Easier and faster.

So she did some research and lots of experiments in the lab until finally she found the right ingredients and the technique to create a sugar wrapping that is thick enough to wrap the coffee powder and yet easily dissolved in hot water.

After she was done with the sugar paper, she tought of another idea, which is to make different flavors of coffee. She started off with the basic flavors like hazelnut, chocolate, and vanilla.

Until today, Cuppacafe has 10 unique flavors other than the original, they are Cherry, Banana, Avocado, Orange, Hazelnut, Almond, Caramel, Cinnamon, Vanilla, and Chocolate

CUPPACAFE

The name Cuppacafe comes from the word ‘Copha’ which was first used by Sir Herbert Thomas to describe a new drink he tasted in Persia. Cuppacafe also comes from a play off of the word ‘a cup of coffee’ that is sometimes pronounce as ‘a cuppa coffee’.
