Linear and elegant, classic and distinctive, spacious and high-quality – Cura, the cantileverchair designed by wiege is a high-calibre lounge chair.
Besides the slender, linear contours of the upholstery, Cura’s unmistakable uniquenessis due to the special frame structure: a bright chromium-plated steel tube forms both theclassic cantilever supporting structure and the optimal location for the armrests. The rear-facing tube terminations connect strikingly to the front, vertical tube structure bymeans of bright chromium-plated bands in flat steel. The paired steel bands outline, holdand support the single-section, fully upholstered seat that is accentuated as a clear,“architectural” shape by flat side facings and rectangular corners.
Cura marks a new interpretation of the classic cantilever principle. The design is familiar yet refreshingly different: light, elegant and – understated form aside – very inviting. Cura is comfortable and characterful. It does not dominate but will turn heads, mergingnaturally with any interior design theme – in a foyer, a lounge or at home.

The sophisticated upholstery technique emphasizes the high quality of the design: the accommodating upholstered element comprises a steel frame with tension springsembedded in foam. This allows slender cushioning that provides pleasantly firm and lasting seated comfort.
The exchangeable, handcrafted covers may be specified in either an exceptionally high-quality woollen fabric or superbly soft leather.
The clear, understated form, based onarchitectural principles, is expressed inthe form of gentle contours to createan accommodating and relaxing chair.

Such a pleasant and comfortable sittingexperience calls for the addition of aconvenient platform for magazines or refresh-ments: low tables, square and rectangle,complete the Cura range. They have a skid-base frame structure in bright chromium-platedsteel tube that harmonizes perfectly with thecantilever chair. The tables are 36 cm (141/8")high, with surfaces measuring 54 x 54 cm(211/4" x 211/4") or 60 x 150 cm (235/8" x 59").The 20 mm (3/4") table tops are finished withreal wood veneer.
Cura chairs and tables create an atmosphere of well-being that stands for both aestheticfinesse and appreciation of the comforts of life.
Depending on a given interior designtheme and individual preferences,armrests may optionally be specifiedwith contacts in moulded wood withwalnut veneer or with fully upholsteredpads to match the covers.
Two horizontal, outstitched seams onthe curved section underline thecoherently designed, gently contouredbackrest and seat sections.
Cura low tables are coordinatedwith the materials and design ofthe chairs.

UpholsterySteel frame in square tube with tension springsembedded in polyurethane foam. Exchangeable, one-piece cover with side facings in high-quality woollenfabric or superbly soft leather.
ArmrestsArmrests with contacts in moulded wood with fully upholstered pads to match the covers or withwalnut face veneer, stained and protected with open-pore lacquer.
