CURRENT EVENT
VOCABULARY1. Abstract: A style of art that is not realistic. Unusual lines, colors,
and shapes make the subject look unrealistic. It is often characterized by the use of geometric lines and shapes and bold, bright colors.
2. Composition: An arrangement of the elements of art using the principles of art to express the artist’s idea.
3. Contrast: The effect of showing the difference between two unlike things, such as a dark color and a light color.
4. Neutrals: A word used for black, white, and tints and shades of gray.
5. Realism: Art style which renders life in a life-like way.
